Responsible to enhance the overall Resident experience through the provision of exceptional service delivery of food and/or beverage to include order-taking and delivery of any items requested, as well as ongoing dining room cleanliness and prep. Position is under the general guidance of the Culinary Director in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures and practices.
 
        Essential Functions:
 
 Participate in Start Sterling! daily line-up.
 Greet the Residents, guests and fellow employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
 Establish and maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards in all side stations and dining areas. 
 Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness; clean, organize and maintain as appropriate and/or assigned.
 Explain the menu and anything special for that meal period to Residents and guests.
 Record the details of the order from the Residents and guests, repeating the order to check for accuracy then communicate to kitchen using established process/equipment.
 When complete, retrieve order up to 30 lbs. from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to Resident and guest along with appropriate condiments. 
 Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages (if applicable).
 Replenish beverages as necessary and inquire on overall satisfaction, identifying and resolving any concerns in a timely manner.
 Market and serve any dessert items, specialty coffees/beverages or other items.
 Properly dispose of used dining service ware to dishwashing area in timely manner.
 Re-set each table and place setting after each use.
 Document and report breakage/loss of all service ware for tracking expense and ensuring par inventory levels are maintained to prevent service breakdowns.
 Attend meetings and training sessions organized by Community Leadership.
 Represent the Community in a professional manner.
